Double Defeat...


Our softball team suffered another loss this past Sunday at the hands of a team that was very beatable. We lost 19-13 to fall to 0-2. We were out of four players, but they were too. It was 8 on 8. My hamstring wasn't 100%, as a matter of fact, far from it. I had it wrapped up and decided to give it a go. I went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a triple. If it wasn't for the hammy, that triple would have been my third home run. I also drove in 8 runs (Grand Slam, two-run homer, and two-run triple). but.............it doesn't mean shit if you don't win. I felt bad that I couldn't play the outfield where I was really needed. I had to settle for pitching. I thought I could have given the outfield a try, but running the bases I felt it and it was a wrap. We held practice after the game because it's hard for people to get together during the week.


I did make it to my friend's house to see the Bears/Bengals game. Did anyone see the dance that Bengals receiver Chad Johnson did on his first score. Hilarious!!!! LOL!!! Orton threw five interceptions and they lost 24-7. I didn't see Benson play not one down. They don't have a second receiver to compliment Mushim. They fell to 1-2 on the season with a bye week coming. The good news is that the rest of the division is bad as well. With Detroit 1-1, Minnesota 1-2, and Green Bay 0-3, the Bears have a chance to get shit together and contend for the division.


Rita...

As you know, the Hurricane hit hard in Texas and Louisiana. I look at the news and see people reporting from Beaumont, Texas, where most of my family resides, and to see the damage that Rita caused in that city and also Cameron, Louisiana, it's a tough thing to go through. I currently do not know if my family has been allowed back to Beaumont yet. In due time, I will know...

Hurricane Rita...


Another hurricane people is working it's mojo in da Gulf of Mexico. Last time I checked it was about 140 miles from Port Arthur, Texas. My whole family on my mother's side lives in the radius where Hurricane Rita is to hit. Galveston, Houston, Beaumont, Lake Charles, you get the picture. Ironically, my grandmother's name is....you guess it...Rita. What do you think with a hurricane that carries your birth name? That would rub me the wrong way if there was a Hurricane Jaloni coming to wreck shop on where I reside. Well most of my family is out of the harm from the hurricane. I believe I still have an uncle who is still in Houston. On the news I just saw that there is no gas in Houston. Let me repeat myself. There is no GAS!! in Houston. People were fighting. standing in line for 2 1/2 hours, people were filling up their gas cans and walking down to people who were waiting and attempting to sell gas to them. It's like a ghost town.

Galveston, if hit directly or not, will feel the wrath of Rita. I have been on that island several times. The west side of the island is not protected by anything. There is a possibility that the whole island will be under water. So cities surrounding Galveston, like Baytown and Nassau City may feel it too. The Sabine Pass, located by Port Arthur, can get hit and cause a lot of damage as well. With Lake Charles, this city is on the Gulf, water can run up on the beach and into the city. That will not be pretty. The hurricane, with the high winds, can also cause a bundle of tonadoes as well. I can go on about other cities and what could happen, but it will just upset me more. Knowing that my family is out of harm's way is important, and I am thankful for that.

Sunday's Hammy Whammy.....


(I immediately thought of Press Your Luck, da game show, I luved that show.....)


We had our first softball game on Sunday @ Waveland Park. Boy did we lose. 13-3 was the score (I drove in all three runs) after 5 innings... 0-1 is our record, but every team in the league makes the playoffs. The whammy to the hammy came on my second at-bat. The bases were loaded and we were down 7-1 with two outs. I smashed a shot into the gap of right-center field. Yelling at my teammates that were on bases to go, go, go cause I'm a speedster and I can fly. I was rounding first base when I felt the hammy in my left thigh. I got to second base, but I knew I was finished. I did finish the game, my sister was at the game, and she tried to loosen it up from me. I don't know how long I will be out. A hamstring injury is usually a 1-3 week injury depending on the severity of it. I didn't get a chance to stretch because I couldn't find parking and that probably was the reason for the hammy pull. I limped to the car, and then drove to Jewel to get some things for the football games. Da Bears!!!!! 38-6.....

Since that day, I have soaked my hammy, have take pain killahs, ice it down, and Tigerbalm....For those who don't know about Tigerbalm, I suggest you ask somebody....

Just Writin'...

Game Sunday...


My other softball league started last Sunday. I got there to the suprise of seeing games being played already. Come to find out that they were having a 12-inch Men's Tournament. People who were scheduled to play were shocked like I was. I was working on three hours sleep from the night before when I..... can't say...lol. They will decide whether to play a double or to add an extra week to the season. We decided to just play a pickup game since we were already out there. We won 15-7. I played exceptional defense and do feel that my body is getting back to the shape that I prefer it to be in, which is good.

Checked out the Bears/Redskins game. Even though they need some improvement, i like what I saw in the Bears. Great defense, but the offense needs some tuning, will get it over time. Next Sunday we have the Lions, who the Bears should take care of. My friend got tickets for the Bears/Falcons game on December 18, a Sunday night game. Last year was tight, with renting the RV, deep fryin' turkeys, tons of alcohol, tailgatin' at its finest. Should be the same this year.


Back to the drawing board...


The job I was tempin' for, ARC Disposal, disposed me as of 09/08. It was a shocker to me, but shit happens. To this day I don't know why they did what they did, but it's cool. I didn't expect to be there long anyway. It was to just hold me until one of the more perferable careers came through for me. I was trying to wait on starting some businesses until I got some things in order, but it looks like I may have to start them now and just deal with those issues as I go long, which may be better for me. I am still goal-driven, and still on line to do what I said what I was going to do back on Jan 1. If I knew what I know now, five years ago, ain't no tellin. I'm so exciting on what I'm trying to do now, and people will see me blossom in due time.


The Lackluster Lovelife...


I can just imagine when I think about this talking to my grandfather who lives in Beaumont, Texas. Every time we conversate, the first question that he asks me is, "How's you lovelife Japoopy?" I always answer with jokingly comments but it all I usually never have one. I am always told by a lot of women that I am a good person, and any woman would be happy to have me. So tired of hearing that bullshit I am... Or I hear: You're a cool brotha, but I'm not the one for you. There's a girl out there for you. I mean where does she reside, Australia? I was talking to this one girl. We were cool and did things when we have time to, but there was a problem. I found myself always calling her. I initiate everything,"You wanna go here?, You wanna check this out tonight?" She rarely calls at all, never asks me to do anything. What's weird about this situation is that when I make plans to hang out, she is always down for it. I wouldn't call her for a while to see if she would call, but I'll end up calling and we'll go out. Now I have stopped calling her all together. I'm tired of putting 100% in women, to only get less than 1% back. It shouldn't be that way. I don't know what to do now. I will not worry about it now and just continue on improving myself and reachin' my goals, or maybe I can try to pursue one of my crushes,LOL...

I just got some high-speed internet for my computer yesterday, so I will be back online everyday again. I couldn't blog like I wanted to because of this but I can now. I have to put some security on my computer today which will not be a problem. I'm getting a new browser, and will clean up my computer as well, especially if I am going to start some businesses on it. Don't need anyone stealin' anything from me ya heard.
