Year Ending Post...

Let's Talk About...

1 Year in the Blog Business...

New Year's Day will mark the one year anniversary of my blog. To tell y'all da truth, this year has just flew by. 12 months, 365 days, no matter how you look at it. I have been good to the blog, and the blog has been good to me. I have gone thru some thangs but I have survived with the help of the blog. I have met new people through this blogging and it has been great for me. I was introduced to the BlogWorld by a lady I have known for a while. Even though I haven't read her blog in months, I still would like to thank her nevertheless.

Da New Gig...

Well I did it! I have a job going into the New Year. Today was my third day there. It is okay, something for now. I plan to get my online things jumpin' next year so I can make it my last job.
To say that I don't have to work for nobody ever will be music to my ears. The people are cool there, but I don't plan to make a career out of it. I will though stick with it until I get my business going.

Being Single...

Well I didn't come across that special someone, even though I have met some people who have caught my eye. Maybe I will reveal one of my crushes, or maybe both of them in the new year. Or maybe NOT!!! "I'll never tell!!" My focus for this last part of this year and next year has been on getting things together since I have the vision now. I really don't care right now if I am single. These women out here really don't know what they are missing out on. In five years, I will be a millionaire, so who cares about being single or not? Why should I? **On the next Maury..** LOL!

Things to look forward to...

1) The new year obviously...

2) Jan 4. Texas and USC for the national championship...Go Texas!!!...

3) Jan 5. My Born Day, Yep 2-7 is almost here.

4) My new car. Not decided on what(I have candidates) or when(spring or summer)...

5) Hitting my goals. Oh yeah! It's gonna happen...

Don't have much else to say. Just want to wish every one a Happy New Year!!!

I'm Rick James Bitch!!!!

Bear Down...

"Bear Down, Chicago Bears!"

Sunday was the big day. I was awaken at about eight something. Even though I only got about three hours sleep, it was time to get up. I took a look at the weather for that day. Man, shit, it was going to be cold. I wasn't scared, not at all. It was to be 8 degrees at game time. ArGhhhhh!!!! I was picked up and was off to our meeting point at Cook County Hospital. I knew most of the people who were going from last year or from the White sox games we watched in the suites. The day started off kinda rough for me because I had this rough headache and it was bangin. After tasting some homemade chili, shit that headache was GONE! It was so good. We made a few more runs at got to Soldier Field at about 1pm.

We were setup in our RV, and let me tell ya, that RV was awesome! I felt like a celebrity in that boy. The guys in the RV in front of us was cool. They had their homemade fireplace outside. They cut a barrel in half, threw logs in there, and got a nice fire going. They had their little bar setup outside. You know my eyes got big! They were grilling a "Turducken", which is a turkey stuffed with duck, and the duck is stuffed with chicken. It took about 4 hours to cook. Meanwhile on our end, we got to deep fry the turkey. Eating a turkey that has been just deep-fryed is better than a LOT of things in life. We had this huge salad, lasagna, chicken legs, fish, tons of alcohol, and some other shit I can't think of right now. The hawk was kind enough to join us for this occasion. Tailgating is so much fun. People really don't know what they be missin'. Watchin the games, throwing the pigskin around in 8 degree weather, drinkin, what else is better than that? Don't answer that!

We headed over to the stadium at about 6:30. People were worrying about me freezing. Let me tell y'all something. I was warm the WHOLE day! I had so much on, I was hot before anything. so I wasn't worried. We got into Soldier Field, got to our seats. The game was also televised on ESPN. "Primetime Baby!" I was so loud it was crazy. I had our section goin'. Every time the Falcons had the ball on third down, I politely screamed, "Get y'all asses up!!!" The Bears defense was rock hard. Vick couldn't get off at all. Everywhere he ran, he was met by a Bear. Then the unexpected happened. As the third quarter started, who do we see? Rex Grossman. When he came in, you could really feel the electricity in the stadium. It was the same electricity at Scottie Pippen's jersey retiring. A long needed, much needed change at QB was finally done. The offense looked so much better. I know that it's only one game Grossman was in, but the Super Bowl is now reachable for the Bears. The Bears of course won 16-3 to go to 10-4 on the season. I told a certain someone that they would win, and she was scared to bet me. LOL!

We left the stadium singing. If you know the words, then sing along....

"Bear Down, Chicago Bears,

Make every play, clear the way to victory!

Bear Down, Chicago Bears,

Put up a fight with a might so fearlessly!

We'll never forget the way you thrilled the nation,

With your T-formation

Bear Down, Chicago Bears,

And let them know why you're wearing the crown!

You're the pride and joy of Illinois,

Chicago Bears, Bear Down!!!"

Game On...

Vick Invades Chi-Town...

Sunday is the day. I am going to the Bears/Falcons game Sunday night at 7:30. Since the football season started, I have been looking forward to this. Going to the game is one thing, but being able to tailgate before it is another. It's going down folks. With a RV rented, we will stroll to Soldier Field in style. There we will endure chili, deep-fryed turkeys, Mexican food, and many more great dishes. We did the same thing last but things are a little different this year. Last year's game was meaningless as the Bears and the 49ers were bad, very bad. Now we have two teams that are fighting to make the playoffs. Also we get to see the most electrifying player in the league in Michael Vick. A running quarterback against that Bears Defense, which is number 1 in the league. Should be a dandy. Who cares about the weather? It's football weather anyway!

Writin' Sum Mo'...

New Goal...

Back on the scene, crispy and clean...you know the rest. That has nothing to do with what I am going to talk about but I just felt like sayin' it. It's like...whatever. I am setting a new goal, which is effective now. No need to wait 'til New Years. You got a problem with that??? Thought so! Back to what I was sayin' before I was rudely interrupted. The goal is that I want to have five things that generate money by January 1, 2006. So I have about 24 days to accomplish this, and it is reachable. With the addition of one as of yesterday(Yes!), I currently have three. I help my friend with a business that he has online, but I will have my own by the month's end. Then we will help each other to get them going, so I guess you can say I have four. Now I am left with one more to get before Jan 1. So maybe the fifth one should be....you guess it...a job. Most people would have assumed that one of the four that I already have would be a job, but unfortunately it's not. Hopefully I will be able to add the job this month. Then that will be five. I will not stop there, but I am taking baby steps. Remember, one of my ultimate goals is to obtain multiple streams of income, so five is a good start.

Da Sports Column...

Last Saturday, I watched Texas destroy Colorado 70-3 to earn a spot to play for the national championship against the offensive juggernaut USC, who clobbered UCLA 66-19. They will play on January 4, the day before my born day. You know who I goin' for.

The Bears won...again 19-7 over the rival Green Bay Packers. Green Bay had won in Chicago every year since 1993, all streaks must come to an end. Speaking of streaks, did y'all see the pounding the Bears' D gave Brett Favre? I mean he took some shots, shots that he will wake up feeling. His streak may be over as well.

In the NBA, the Suns are doing just fine without Amare, the Pistons are rolling, the Clippers and Warriors look to be serious, and Dennis Rodman is.....Dennis Rodman. The Bulls are retiring Scottie's number this Friday, should be exciting. It was well overdue.

Da Drink of the Day...

Tom Collins...(made these last Saturday, watchin' da Hopkins-Taylor fight)...

2 oz. Gin
1 oz. Sweet & Sour
1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
1 tsp of Sugar
Soda

Fill shaker with ice. Pour gin, sweet & sour and sugar in shaker. Shake well. Pour into glass filled with ice. Add soda(Pepsi, Sprite, or whatever you may have). I know some of you all will use that Wildwood soda.

Garnish with orange slice or cherry...
