This Weekend.....

This weekend proved to be a very busy weekend, but a very fun weekend. The Taste of Chicago, the Carribean Festivals, numerous BBQ's, softball games, and the meeting of the bloggers. I had people come in from out of town to kick it with DO1 as well. It was very difficult for me to try to accomplish everything that I wanted to do but I did the best that I could....


FRIDAY....


I hung out with a couple of friends and got my hair lined up and took some jagerbomb shots. I made another stop at a friend's home because he wanted me to make him some white russians. Now you know I had to make some for me as well. It wouldn't be right. Then off downtown to meet the bloggers. I didn't know what to expect. It was cool. I got there kinda late but I got my social on. I left downtown and went to the Negro League Cafe. It was my second time there. The DJ was cool, and had some more to drink, decided to cut home, found myself on the phone until almost 4....


SATURDAY...


I woke up. I played in a softball game where we won 13-6, then "SHOT" over to the BBQ set for the bloggers. I got to hang out... I got my ass kicked in spades and I winning in scrabble(I was going to win anyway...)..until...someone said...

"This SHIT is boring!"

Then someone else replied...

"Yeah, I feel ya!"

Then the magic words were delivered....

"LET'S TAKE SOME SHOTS!"...

I can't really go into what happened after that...but I'll leave it at this...I really enjoyed it and I wish that it didn't have to end!


SUNDAY....


I didn't make it for the photo downtown. I strolled to 39th and the Grove. My guys were BBQ'n and playin' ball. Then I got into a volleyball and a softball game. After that I stayed for a while and then shot down to the Taste for the fireworks. I was to meet a friend I haven't seen in a while. I didn't get to her until after the fireworks. She was at North Pier at a party. I walked over there and it was a karaoke party. I didn't do any karaoke, just chilled out. My friend drove me to my car because I was sooooo far away from it now. I went back to the spot of the BBQ to chill with the bloggers. We just sat around and talked until about 4:30am, then I shot home.


MONDAY...


I had many BBQ's to attend. I tried to make them all but I didn't. I went with a friend to the Carribean Fest. Went through some jerk chicken and rice, talked for a while. After that I hit BBQ after BBQ after BBQ. Pretty simple day.



For the Bloggers...


I really enjoyed meeting everyone. I may have not spend the whole weekend there but I really enjoyed the time that I did. Everyone was awesome. I cannot wait until the next time, whether it is here or somewhere else. Hopefully we can keep in touch and network for a long time. It doesn't have to stop just here. I enjoyed everyone's company and I hoped you all enjoyed mine...
